Ousmane Dembélé has elevated his game recently, netting four goals in his last four matches. He notably struck twice against his former club in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash and followed it up with a brace in the victory against FC Lorient.

With a Champions League semifinal tie against Borussia Dortmund and a Coupe de France Final against Olympique Lyonnais on the horizon, Paris Saint-Germain are entering a crucial part of the season.

Dembélé finds this impressive form to possibly help the capital club reach the final in Wembley and lift the Coupe de France. Nonetheless, former French footballer Mathieu Bodmer notes his joy that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is thriving after leaving Barcelona last summer.

“I’m just happy for him, plain and simple,” Bodmer said on RMC Sport’s Stephen Time (h/t Le10Sport). “Sometimes, he’s been criticized this season when he’s actually a fantastic player.

“I’ve known him since he was young, he’s endearing and didn’t deserve so much criticism. People talked about his lifestyle when it wasn’t true. Even in Paris, they spoke about his performance issue when he was achieving great things.”

If Dembélé and Bradley Barcola can be the running mates for Kylian Mbappé, then there’s a chance that PSG could be winning a treble this season. It’s a challenge, but so far, the 26-year-old appears ready for what lies ahead, beginning this week.
